Scots lose schools golf international to England
Scotland lost overall 14.5-12.5 to England in the annual schools golf international match, played this year at Irvine Bogside Golf Club today (Monday).
The boys drew 9-9 and England won the girls' match 5.5 to 3.5. The Scots' girls line-up included a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old.
Organiser Dorothy Scott is worried about the future of the match which had no sponsorship of any description this year. Next year the Scots will have to finance their trip to an English venue.
