Top seed Clark wins at 20th in Scottish seniors' match-play championship at Turriff

Top seed Ronnie Clark (Erskine) was taken to the 20th hole in a first-round tie before he got the better of David Hart (Downfield), the last of the 32 qualifiers for the match-play stages of the Scottish senior men's match-play championship at Turriff Golf Club today.

Second seed Ian Brotherston (Dumfries and County) had a much easier passage. He beat Jim  Strang (Banchory) by 6 and 4.
Royal Troon member Paul Moultrie, joint third best qualifier for the match-play, had the biggest win of the day. He beat Ian Jeen (St Andrews New) 8 and 7.
