Stewart Finnie wins NE District Seniors' Championship

Stewart Finnie (Caledonian) won the North-east District Seniors Championship for the first time at the Kings Links course today with a score of level par 71.
Donald Smith (Portlethen), the defending champion, was second on 74 and Mike Lornie (Murcar Links) beat  clubmate Jimmy Russell  for third place by virtue of a better back nine.
The CSS for the day was 72 (two over the SSS of 70).
Finnie, who has one of a handicap, also had the lowest net score of  70
All the competitors were aged 55 years or over
