Deeside member Lauren Watson in title-winning US college team

Former Robert Gordon's College pupil Lauren Watson, pictured right, a current Deeside Golf Club member and a former Deeside women's club champion, is a member of the Florida Institute of Technology women's golf team who have won an NCAA championship in the States.
She is studying for a double Major in Mathematical Science and Computer Science.  There has been a large amount of media coverage in America following the team winning the NCAA National Championships and this week they were featured and interviewed live  on the Golf Channel Morning Drive Programme. 
Lesley's father, Aberdeen solicitor Douglas Watson, said:
"Obviously, I am a proud parent and I am unaware of any other local or Scottish golfer who has won a NCAA National Championship."
