Scotland lost 5-3 to England on Day 2 of the Senior Women's Home Internationals at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club, Somerset.
Defending champions Ireland were made to fight harder than expected to achieved a 5-3 win over Wales.
Scotland play the Irish on the final day.
