Oscillating balls: Play suspended at windy Newmachar
Play was suspended before noon at the EuroPro Tour event first round at Newmachar because the high winds were causing balls to move around on the greens.
Eventually, the organisers decided to resume play early on Thursday morning.
England's Joe Heraty was the leader at four under par after 12 holes, alongside compatriot James Wilkinson who was four under after nine holes.
The leading Scots when play was halted were Sean Lawrie (12 holes), Greg McBain (12 holes), Craig Lawrie (nine holes) and amateur Craig Ross (3 holes), all of whom were two under par.
