Keir McNicoll has a hole in one at Lindsay Ewart pro-am

 By SCOTT ARBUTHNOTT
Great day down at Arbroath for long-serving professional Lindsay Ewart and the pro-am in his honour

A total of 43 teams played. There was a three-way tie on four-under-par 66 in the professionals' competition, featuring Fraser Mann, Chris Currie and David Snodgrass..

In the team competition - two best net scores - again very close:

Luke Searle's team              121
Chris Currie's  team             123
Keir McNicoll's team            123
Michael Rae's team              123

We had superb prizes on offer for amateur hole in ones on all of our par 3s, including a £14,000 car at the seventh. Unfortunately, no amateur got a hole in one but in our last group out on the course, Keir McNicoll, the pro from Carnoustie, scored a hole in one at the very difficult 14th. He was rewarded with a bottle of whisky!
