ALFORD PAIR FINISH JT 13th AT CORONATION 

FOURSOMES GRAND FINAL

Alford Golf Club's Angela Joss (handicap 9) and Hannah Bycroft (8) finished joint 13th in a field of 16 regional qualifying pairs at the Grand Final of the R and A's Coronation Foursomes women's tournament played under Stableford handicap rules over the Eden Course, St Andrews today.
Angela and Hannah earned 26pt - 12 behind the winners from Whittlebury Park, Towcester, Ann Lester (28.7) and Christina Hancock (6.2). Lester gained 17 points on the outward half and 21 after the turn.
Norma Hughes (13.5) and Julie Line (8.8) from the Llanymynech GC, Shropshire finished second with 36pt. Hughes and Line scored 15pt on the way out and 21 on the way home. 
The highest-placed Scots were Emma Cassidy (20.5) and Barbara McCrory (32) from Uphall Golf Club, West Lothan. They finished joint fourth with 33pt.
