Steven O'Hara's run of 14 consecutive pars on way to victory at Royal Dornoch

Steven O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure) reeled off 14 consecutive par figures before birdieing the 16th and 17th and bogeying the final hole for a one-under-par 69 at Royal Dornoch where he won the £11,672 Sandy Pipey Young Masters 36-hole tournament by two strokes with a one-under-par total of 139.
O'Hara won the £1,867 prize for heading a field of 48 players by two strokes.
Pumpherston's James Steven earned £1,284 for finishing runner-up on 141 with rounds of 69 and 72, his second round including only one birdie which meant he could not put any pressure on the winner.
Overnight leader Cameron West (Scotscraig) dropped out of contention with an second-round inward half of 40, including a double bogey 6, in rounds of 67 and 75 for a share of third place on 142 with Fraser McKenna (Caldwell) (71-71). They earned £857 each.
