North-east District debut for Mark Thomson and a recall for Anthony Bews

Two of the North-east District squad of six who won the Scottish area team championship at Newmachar last year were not available for selection by team captain Mike Pocock as he announced his line-up to bid for a repeat performance at Cawder Golf Club, Bishopbriggs near Glasgow from September 7 to 9

Sam Locke has turned professional and Stephen Roger has moved to Peebles.

Mike has replaced them with Mark Thomson (Kintore), pictured left, who earned a district team debut by finishing second in the Kings Links Golf Centre North-east District Open at Aboyne on Sunday, and recalling Anthony Bews, a member of the team who won the title in 2010 at Kinross.

The six for Cawder are:
