Skipper Furyk has four places to fill in USA Ryder Cup team

The USPGA Championship at Bellerive rounded off the year’s majors in emphatic style, with Brooks Koepka holding off a fearsome challenge from Tiger Woods to claim his third major title in 15 months.
The contest in St. Louis also brought to a close the points race for the USA team, meaning captain Jim Furyk now knows eight of the 12 players he will be taking to Le Golf National, Paris to defend the Cup reclaimed at Hazeltine two years ago
Koepka, the US Open and PGA champion, leads the points list ahead of world No.1 Dustin Johnson, while Webb Simpson managed to creep in to the final spot late on ahead of Bryson DeChambeu and Phil  Mickelson

Following his astonishing comeback, having led the Open Championship on the Sunday and shooting a career low score across 54 holes at a major in his final three rounds at Bellerive, Tiger Woods is almost certain to make the team as a wild card choice, though Furyk is keeping his cards close to his chest.
Another likely to make the cut is 11-time Ryder Cup player Mickelson, while despite a missed cut at the PGA Championship, DeChambeu will be disappointed should he miss out.
There remains an embarrassment of riches for Furyk, who will name his first three picks on September 3 before the final slot is filled a week later, to choose from with the likes of Matt Kuchar, Xander Schauffele, Zach Johnson, Kevin Kisner and Tony Finau all vying for a chance in Paris
