FAIR CITY CLUB STRIKES A CHORD WITH MUSIC FANS

A PERTH golf club’s musical experiment has proved a winner.
Three years ago Craigie Hill Golf Club teed-up a music festival in a bid to boost their bank balance.
The third “Hillfest,” featuring a string of local bands, is set to lure up to 1,000 music fans on August 25.
It was the brainchild of past captain Athole McDonald and his committee, with the club’s car park and clubhouse turned over to music for the day.
But members still have time to get in their morning round.
Last year, more than 500 turned out for an event topped by Scots songstress Eddi Reader.
Local civil engineering contractors Kilmac have been tied-up as main sponsor with backing from Fair City businesses including Campbell Dallas, AGB Builders, Bannerman Colour Studio, Graham and Sibbald, GS Group, Keyline and Hardie’s.
Gavin Munro, lead singer and guitarist with the local favourites, the Red Pine Timber Company, said:
