Adam Fisher lowers Peterculter course record by three strokes with a nine-under 62

Adam Fisher slashed three strokes off the Peterculter Golf Club course record with a nine-under-par 62 in the club's men's open tournament on Saturday.
Fisher, a former Cults Academy pupil who spent four years at Missouri State University and is now a Peterculter member, had one eagle (5th hole), eight  birdies and one bogey (4th hole) in halves of 31.
His scorecard read:
OUT: 342 534 523 - 31 (-5)
   IN: 333 432 454 - 31 (-4)
He finished nine strokes ahead of runner-up Scott Paterson with Ian Thomson, Simon Hoy and Craig McDonald sharing third place on 75.
The previous record of 62, set by Barrie Edmond, had stood since 2007.
"I think Adam's score will stand as the course record for a long, long time," said club professional Ross McConnachie.
