Olsen, Gomez share the lead but others in
contention for Aberdeen Senior Masters prize.
contention for Aberdeen Senior Masters prize.

Dan Olsen from Florida looked to have one hand on the £5,000 winner's cheque after a first-round, seven-under-par 63 in the Aberdeen Senior Masters 54-hole tournament over the Meldrum House Country Hotel course at Oldmeldrum.
But a second-round, par-matching score of 70 loosened his grip and Olsen is now sharing the lead on seven-under 133 with Argentina's Rafel Gomez who shot the joint-best round of the second day, a five-under-65, to join him in the pole position.
It might not be a final-round shoot-out between the two as Argentina's Cesar Monasterio, who finished third in a German seniors' event last week, is only two behind them on 135 (66-69) and England's Mark Ashworth jumped into contention with a late in the day, second-round 66 to share third place with Monasterio.
"It was a different course today," said Olsen. "Certainly different, more difficult pin positions and I had only two birdies, cancelled out by two bogeys."
Gomez, in contrast, had a bag of six birdies, with gains at the fourth, fifth, ninth, 11th, 13th and 17th in halves of 33 and 32. But for a lone bogey at the third the Argentinian would have taken over the lead on his own.
Leading Scots are Fraser Mann (69-70) and Kenny Hutton (68-71), both on 139, a shot ahead of Nick Robson (Meldrum House), bidding to win the leading amateur award again, and Craig Ronald (69-71), Andrew Oldcorn (68-72) and Robert Arnott (71-69), all on 140.
+This third staging of the Aberdeen Senior Masters is sponsored again by Thistle Windows, Gymrental and Meldrum House Country Hotel.
