Spooner wins £10,000 jackpot prize at
EuroPro Tour event
Lincolnshire lad Billy Spooner (Boston West) won the latest PGA EuroPro Tour event at Harleyford Golf Club with scores of 69, 64 and 68 for at 15-under-par total of 201 which earned him £10,000 by a one-stroke margin.
Runner-up for a £6,000 prize was another Englishman James Scade (Ingrebourne Links) with scores of 71, 67 and 64 for 202,
Five players finished T3 on 203 and each earned £1,910.
Paul McKechnie was the highest placed finisher among the four Scots who qualified for the third round.
The Braid Hills man shot rounds of 70, 71 and 69 for 210 and a T28 placing which earned him £400.
Jordan McColl (Kingsbarns Pro Academy) (73-68-70), Craig Ross (Kirkhill) (66-70-75) and Danny Young (Kingsbarns Pro Academy) (73-68-70) tied for 35th place on 211 and earned £362.50 apiece.
