   Maurice Brown wins Fortrose and Rosemarkie    handicap championship for first time at age of 83!

 Maurice Brown, Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club member, has won the club's handicap championship for the first time at the age of 83.
  Maurice came through the 36 hole qualifying process as the last qualifier of eight after returning two net scores of 73 playing from a handicap of 22.  In the quarter finals, Maurice beat the No. 1 seed William MacKay 3 and 2 to move onto the semi-finals. 
Brown then defeated the fifth seed, Muir Morton, on the last hole to move into the 18 hole final against the No. 2 seed, Ben Patience whom he beat on the 10th green by the score of 9 and 8.
Lewis Reid, the top seed, won the club's scratch championship for a fourth time. He beat No 7 seed Peter Cameron 4 and 2 in the final after beating Jake Williamson 5 and 4 in the quarter-finals and Euan Gill, the No 4 seed, 5 and 3 in the semi-finals.
