Aussie-Scot Connor McKinney finishes second in Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters
All-the-way leader Laurenz Schiergen from Germany put in an outstanding performance to win the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters by 10 strokes over 72 holes at Nizels Golf Club, Kent.
Schiergen had scores of 71, 65, 67 and 71 for a 14-under-par total of 274. At one stage he led the big field by 12 strokes but Australian-based Scot Connor McKinney, originally from Pitreavie, finished strongly to claim second place on 284 with rounds of 71, 74, 71 and 68.
Tom Spreadborough (Farnham) finished third on 287 with scores of 78, 68, 69 and 72.
The girls' event was won by Charlotte Heath (Huddersfield) by four strokes with a total of 300, including a final round of 67.
There were no Scots in the girls' field.
