Aberdeenshire in the driving seat against Perth and Kinross with a 3-0 lead in title decider

Aberdeenshire can clinch a place in the four-cornered Scottish women's county finals at Kilmacolm Golf Club, Renfrewshire in this afternoon's last-day singles at the North Division women's inter-county team jamboree at Strathmore Golf Centre near Alyth.
Shire won all three morning singles against Perth and Kinross in what had been billed as the title decider between the two counties with 100 per cent records after the first two days' action. Aberdeenshire need to win only two of the six afternoon singles to be in an unassailable position
P and K, the divisional title-holders, fought hard and two of the three ties went to the 18th green - Shire's talented youngsters Jasmine Mackintosh and 14-year-old Carmen Griffiths won by one hole against Laura Walker and Eilidh Watson, while the experienced pairing of Sheena Wood and Carol Wilson won by two holes over Jen Saxton and Steph Crolla.
Hazlehead's Mackintosh has won all five of her matches so far. Leslie and Beveridge have each won four and halved one todate.
Sammy Leslie and Kim Beveridge completed a successful morning for Aberdeenshire by beating Kristy Brodie and Isla Moncrieff 3 and 1.
In the other match, Northern Counties also built up a 3-0 lead at the expense of Angus in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon.  Northern Counties have used the same six players through the first five sessions of play.
