Kyle Godsman comes from behind to win Boyd Anderson Trophy at Lossie

By ROBIN WILSON
North District champion Kyle Godsman from the Moray Golf Club headed a field of 141 competitors to win the Belhaven Boyd Anderson Trophy over 36 holes on his home links at Lossiemouth.
David Joel (Inverness) led him by two shots after a first-round 67 against Godsman’s 69.
But the North champion, pictured, moved up two gears in round two and was five under par through 10 holes with an eagle 2 on the 10th.  But a double bogey from the home player on the 12th let Joel draw level, only for Godsman to birdie the next hole and par in for 67 against Joel’s closing 70.
And so Godsman (136) won the trophy and a £200 value voucher by a single stroke from Joel (137)
Mark Hislop (Glenbervie) finished third on 141 (69 72).
Steven Todd (Moray) won the Campbell and McConnachie Trophy leading handicap award with a net total of 136 (75-61) off 14 of a handicap
