Scots McNeill and Bryce shine for Toledo
University at Fort Lauderdale
Scottish students in the Toledo University golf team, third-year man Duncan McNeill from Annan and sophomore Joe Bryce from Bathgate tied for fourth place to lead the Rockets to a runner-up finish at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate this week.
Toledo carded a five-over par 293 in the final round to complete the competition at two-over 866, just three strokes behind team champions Austin Peay University.
McNeill and Bryce each finished at one-under par 215 for the tournament. McNeill (pictured right) posted rounds of 72-72-71 while Bryce (pictured below) was just as consistent with rounds of 72-71-72.
Sophomore Thomas Thurloway, an Englishman from Crawley, was two-over par 218 (72-71-75) and tied for 12th place.
Seniors Colin Joseph (72-71-77=220) and Stephen Watts (73-76-75) rounded out the Rocket line-up with 21st-place and 38th-place finishes, respectively.
Florida Gulf Coast's Cole Castro earned the individual title with a six-under par 210.
