Ian McKerron wins SSGS  event with 39pts 

at West Kilbride

SSGS NEWS RELEASE

At last a Scottish Seniors Golfing Society winter event went ahead at West Kilbride this week after three cancellations.

West Kilbride was in excellent condition and all who played enjoyed, although a cold breeze made scoring difficult and par was a good score.

The winner was Ian McKerran from Grange Golf Club, Monifieth with 39  Stableford points. He  pipped local  Brian Aiken (West Kilbride) (37pts).

Ian had a best of the day 20 pts on the back nine.

Brian’s 37 pts was a great score, considering he did not score a point at the par 4 fifth hole.

In third place was Drew Wilson (St Andrews New) with 36pts (19-17).

The SSGS circuit moves to Monifieth Links next week for the third of five events.
