Shannon moves up to a share of sixth with a round to go in South American  championship

Torphins-based Aboyne Golf Club member Shannon McWilliam recovered her form in the third round of the 72-hole South American women's amateur championship.
She posted a one-under-par 71 - six shots better than her second round slump - and goes into the final round at the Martindale Country Club, Buenos Aires in a share of sixth place on level par 216.
Shannon trails the Columbian joint leaders, Silvia Garces and Maria Serrano, by four strokes.
Hannah McCook from Grantown on Spey had a third-round 74, her worst score of the three days, for a tally of three-over 219 and is joint 10th in the women's field of 50 competitors.
In the men's championship at the same venue, Scots Calum Fyfe (Cawder) and Ayrshire's Euan Walker are joint 17th and 19th respectively in a field of 70 players
Fyfe improved on a second-round 78 with a third-round 70 for one-under-par 215.
Walker has had deteriorating scores of 71, 72 and 73 but is still inside the top 20  with a tally of level par 216.
Canada's Chris Crisologo leads the field by seven strokes after rounds of 72, 64 and 66 for a 14-under-par three-round tally of 202.
