News from European Tour School Stage 2 venues in Spain

Law and Syme sharing 4th place at Las Colinas

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
David Law followed up his opening 63 with a par 71 at Las Colinas GC, Alicante in the second round of the European Tour Qualifying School Stage 2.

No word yet about how many will qualify from each of the four Spanish venues for the Grand Final at Lumine, Tarragona, also in Spain.
Law is T4, being joined on the eight-under-par 134 mark by another Scot, Connor Syme, pictured, who has had a pair of 67s.
Chris Doak is T24 on 139 with rounds of 71 and 68.
Leading at Las Colinas by two shots if South African Jacques Kruyswijk with scores of 61 and 67 for 14-under 128.

EL SALER
Former British boys champion Ewen Ferguson from Bearsden, Glasgow is going as well as Law and Syme - he is in fourth place on 137 (68-69) at El Saler, Valencia.
Three players share the lead on 135 at this venue: Ricard Gonzalez (Argentina) (67-68), Matthew Millar (Australia) (71-64) and Steven Tiley (England) (66-69).
Also at El Saler, Conor O'Neil has had a pair of 71s for 142 to be T12.
Jack Doherty slipped from 71 to 74 for 145 and his placing at halfway is T27.
Ross Kellett has had a pair of 73s for 146 and is T33.
Craig Ross improved from a 78 to a 73 for 151 but he is T57 and needs something special over the final two rounds to advance to the Final Stage.

DESERT SPRINGS
At Desert Springs GC, Almeria, the leading Scots are Daniel Young from Perth (70-69) and Glasgow's Scott Henry (also 70-69).
They are sharing 26th place on 139 - 12 shots behind the Austraia leader by one, Lukas Nemecz who had had scores of 64 and 63 for 127.
Former Scottish amateur champion Robert MacIntyre is T41 on 141 with scores of 71-70.
Paul Shields has had a pair of 72s for 144 and at T61 his prospects are not rosy.
PANORAMICA

Craig Howie, playing as an amateur, is the leading Scot at Panoramica GC, Castellon. Howie has had scores of 68 and 70 for 138 and a T21 placing behind the South Korea leader Eunshin Park who has scored 66 and 64 for 14-under 130 and a two-strokelead.
Michael Stewart from Ayrshire had a good second-round score of 68, six better than his first effort, and is T47 on 142.
Peterhead's Ross Cameron also improved, from a 73 to 70, but his 143 tally has him T51 and that means he has a lot of work to do over the last two rounds.
Jack McDonald has had a pair of 72s for 144 and is T56.
