Scots Franssen and Stewart have a birdie-fest at Jack Rabbit Invitational

University of Missouri Scots Rory Franssen from Inverness and Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly) had 11 birdies between them in the second round of the Jack Rabbit Invitational college tournament at the Prairie Club at Valentine, Nebraska on Monday.
Jamie has had rounds of 69 and 70 for 139 and a joint 18th position in a field of 81 players.
Rory has scored 72-69 for 141 and is sharing 31st place.
His six birdies in the second round came at the fourth, fifth, 11th, 12th, 14th and 15th.
Stewart, who had six birdies in the first round, had gains at the sixth, 10th, 11th, 13th and 15th in his second round. Both Scots had three bogeys.
Hayden Sheih (Santa Clara) continues to lead - by two strokes - with scores of 64 and 67 for 13-under-par 131.
Santa Clara (540) also lead the team event with Tennessee (547) second and Missouri (561) sixth of 13.
