Duddingston trio's nightmare in France continues: Last of 25 teams after Round 2

Scotland, represented by the Duddingston Golf Club trio of Conor Scott, John Shepherd and Gordon Milligan, had another bad day at the European Men's Club Trophy at Golf du Medoc Resort in France and are now last of 25 in the team table.
The Scots' best two from three total in the second round was 162 - two strokes worse than the first day - and their team total of 322 is 48 shots worse than the host country's RCF La Boulie trio who posted a second-round 135 for 274 to lead by eight strokes from England, represented by the City of Newcastle Golf Club, with Ireland's Galway Bay Golf Club (284) in third place.
Wales (301) are joint 16th.
In the individual event Scott had a 76 for 156 and is T51 in the field of 75. Shepherd slumped to an 88 for 168 and a T68 placing. 
Milligan lifted himself off the bottom rung to 74th place with an 86 - an improvement of 10 strokes - for 182.
Frederic Lacroix (France) leads the indiviual standings with scores of 67 and 72 for three-under 139 over the par-71 course.
He leads by one from England's Alex Dixon and France's Hugo Rouillon, whose 68s were the joint best second-round scores, and Philip Bootsma (Netherlands) (69 for 140).
Ronan Mullarney (Ireland) is joint fifth on 141 (68-73).
Scott is the best placed of the Duddingston trio after a 76 for 156 lifted him to T51.
Shepherd slipped back to T68 with an 88 for 168.
Milligan is 74th on 182 after his second-round 86.
The 54-hole tournament ends on Saturday.
