Tain father and son head qualifiers for Grand Final at Fairmont St Andrews

Tain Golf Club's representatives, Alastair Kennedy and his 17-year-old son Sean Kennedy, in the regional qualifier at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club today (Friday), headed the five club pairs who qualified for the Grand Final of the Scottish Club Handicap Championship over the Fairmont St Andrews' Torrance Course on Friday, September 22.
Alastair (handicap 13) and Sean (6) had a better-ball net score of 10-under-par 61 to finish a shot ahead of Maverston's Mark Morris (9) and Conor Copland (10.7).
Other qualifying teams were: Eriskay (63), Carrbridge (63) and Inverness (65 bih).
