SANDY SCOTT FINISHES ON A HIGH AT DALLAS WITH FIVE-UNDER-PAR RUN

Sandy Scott from Nairn, a student at Texas Tech, finished 11th in a field of 78 players after covering his last 11 holes in five under par for a 67 in the Trinity Forest Invitational college tournament at Trinity Forest Golf Club, Dallas, Texas.
Scott, pictured, birdied the eighth, ninth, 11th, 17th and 18th without dropping a shot in his closing round after earlier efforts of 73 and 73. He finished on 212 over a par 71 course of 7,287yd, nine shots behind the winner by three, Justin Suh (Southern California (67-69-67)
Texas Tech (845) tied with Auburn for second place behind the team title winners Florida (835)



CALUM RITCHIE TOP SCOT IN TENNESSEE

Calum Ritchie (Mars Hill University) was the highest placed Scot in the Tuscullum Men's Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club, Greeneville in Tennessee.
Ritchie had rounds of 72 and 70 for level par 142, finishing sixth behind joint winners Anthony Holden (Tuscullum) (69-70) and Harry Butler (Mars Hill) (70-69)

Craig Stephen (Brevard College), pictured, from Torphins finished T20 on 147 (T20) with rounds of 75 and 72.
Team-mates Calum McAndrew (78-76) and Declan Addison (80-74) from Peterhead finished joint 47th on 154 in a field of 57 players.





LAUREN WHYTE HELPS DENVER WIN TEAM TITLE


Former Scottish U18 girls champion Lauren Whyte from St Andrews played a big part in helping Denver University win the GolfWeek Conference Women's College Challenge title at Red Sky Golf Club, Wolcott in Colorado.
The Scot had rounds of 72, 75 and 70 for a total of 217 and finished 11th in a field of 90 players, eight shots behind the winner by four, Haley Moore (Arizona).

Denver (872) won the team title by two shots from Pepperdine in a field of 18 teams/
