Angus pip Perth and Kinross for Senior Area

Angus pipped Perth and Kinross to win the Scottish Senior Golfing Society area team championship at Forfar Golf Club today (Friday). Both six-man teams finished with five-man totals of 354. The tie-breaker was the score of the sixth man and a 75 by Jim Watt (Edzell), compared with a 78 from Craig Hay (Blairgowrie), won the day for Angus.
Fife finished third with a 363 total. North-east (375) finished seventh.
Graham Bell (Downfield), pictured, had the lowest score of the day - a 68, one stroke better than Tom McLevy (Blairgowrie) and Grant McNab (Lundin).
