Chancellor, Logie, Henderson and Blair share Seniors' lead at Strathmore

By ALASDAIR MACREGOR
There is a four-way tie for the lead on two-under-par 70 at the halfway stage of the Scottish Senior Golfing Society's autumn meeting at Strathmore Golf Centre today (Thursday).
Laurie Chancellor (Inverness), David Logie (Craigie Hill), Stewart Henderson (Hamilton) and Lindsay Blair (Grangemouth) all hit the 70 mark.
Chancellor set the clubhouse target by birdieing the first, 10th, 11th and 18th, offset by bogeys at the fourth and eighth.
Logie was the first to match it by birdieing the second, fifth, sixth, 11th and 17th. Boeys at the eighth, 15th and 16th deprived him of the outright lead.
Henderson looked like  he would take the outright lead but a bunker trouble at the 12th led to
a double bogey 7.
Blair was in the last group to finish. He bogeyed the second and third but recovered well with birdies at the  fifth, sixth, 10th and 11th.
Murray Ferguson (Stirling) leads the way in the handicap event with a  net 66, playing off a handicap of 6.
