Currie and O'Hara in three-way tie for PGA

Professional Championship lead

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Scots Christopher Currie (Caldwell) and Paul O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure) are sharing the lead with Christopher McDonnell (Golf at Goodwood) after 54 holes of the Titleist and Footjoy PGA Professional championship at Luttrellstown Castle Golf and Country Club, near Dublin.

Testing weather conditions made the third round a damage limitation exercise and Currie (pictured) posted a 74, O'Hara  75 and McDonnell a 77 for the trio to be locked together on one-under 215 with 18 holes to go.
O'Hara managed to highlight his card with an eagle 3 at the 11th in halves of 37-38 but he had a double bogey 6 at the 15th and five bogeys.
Currie had three birdies and five bogeys in halves of 38-36 while McDonnell struggled after the turn with 40 shots to come home.
They lead by one shot from fourth placed Welshman Gary Houston.
Overnight leader, Irishman Brendon McGovern (Headfort) had an 81 after earlier pacemaking scores of 71 and 66 and dropped back to eighth place on 218.
