Newmachar beat Hazlehead in only Pennant tie to beat rain

Only one of the three scheduled Aberdeen and District Pennant League matches beat the rain tonight.
Newmachar, playing at home on a "really wet course," scored a convincing 4-1 win over Hazlehead.
But Bon Accord v Deeside at the Kings Links was postponed earlier in the day while the Peterculter v Auchmill tie started but was abandoned after the lead-off pair had only got as far as the seventh hole. Steady rain and very wet underfoot conditions made it impossible to continue.

NEWMACHAR 4, HAZLEHEAD 1
Newmachar names first.

Steve Gauld and Mike Lynch lost to G Kennedy and  L Strath 1 hole.
Calvin Cheyne and Chris Simpson bt B Nicolson and S Main 2 and 1
Mark McKechnie and Jamie Wilson bt R Hyland and M Winton 5 and 3
John Ross and Andrew Hepburn bt M Ingram and S Wilson 2 holes
Chris Lamb and Gordon Munro bt  I T Murray and A Strachan 7 and 6
