Stuart Easton makes top 20 in Kentucky

 Stuart Easton from Irvine, Ayrshire, a student at Western Kentucky University, achieved a top 20 finish in the WKU Kenny Perry
Invitational at The Club @ Old Stone,  Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Stuart (pictured) had rounds of 70, 75 and 76 for a total of 221 over par 72 course of 7,219yd, which earned him  a share of 18th place.
Englishman Jamie Mist (Jacksonville State) finished T21 on 223 with rounds of 73, 75 and 75.
James Leadbetter (Florida Gulf Coast), son of US-based English-born coach David Leadbetter, finished T49 on 232 with scores of 80, 74 and 78.
Londoner Casper Howells (Florida Gulf Coast) shot scores of 78, 81 and 78 for 237 and a share of 59th position in a field of 69.
Winner by two strokes was Billy Tom Sargent (Western Kentucky) with scores of 70, 69 and 69 for 208.
The team event 1-2-3 was:

869 Jacksonville State
871 Western Kentucky 

McNeill's T49 finish in Bayou Classic
McNeese State students Tom Atkins and Scot Duncan McNeill finished on 220 (T30) and 224 (T49) respectively in a field of 80 players at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Goldcrest County Club.
Englishman Atkins had scores of 76, 71 and 73; McNeill 72, 75 and 77.
Individual winner by three strokwes was Mans Berglund (Lamar) with rounds of 70, 67 and 70 for nine-under-par 207.
Lamsas (852) won the team title comfortably from Houston (869) with McNeese State (872) fifth of 13 teams. 

Emily Aird down the Dallas field as

19-year-old American wins by 13 strokes

Emily Aird from Perth, in her fourth and final year as a student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished joint 39th in a field of 86 players at the Dallas Baptist University Women's Patriot Classic college golf tournament at the Golf Club of Dallas, Texas.
Over a par-72 course of 5,991yd, Emily, pictured below, had improving scores of 81, 78 and 76 for a total of 235.

Team-mate Alexandra Patton, also a fourth-year student, finished T67 with rounds of 80, 85 and 82 for 247
Ann Parmerter, a 19-year-old Dallas Baptist student from Austin, Texas, scored a runaway win by a 13-stroke margin with rounds of 69, 65 and 67 for a 15-under-par total of 201.
Dallas Baptist also won the team event by 16 strokes from Tarleton State with Newman University 11th of 16 teams.

HEATHER MUNRO FAILS TO BLOOM IN FINAL 

PINEHURST ROUND

Monifieth's Heather Munro, a third-year student at Elon University, North Carolina, dropped from a share of fourth place to a final position of joint 19th in a field of 96 players over the last round in the 54-hole Pinehurst Challenge at the Pinehurst No 12 course, North Carolina today (Tuesday, USA time).
Heather had scores of 73, 70 and 79 for a total of 222. She had a nightmare inward half of 42 in her last round.
Eildih Watson from Dollar, a student at Stetson University, finished joint 56th with rounds of 77, 78 and 74 for 229. 
Anglo-Scot Paige Kemp (Stetson) finished on 221 with rounds of 76, 69 and 76. That placed her T14.
Dulcie Sverdloff (Kennesaw State) from Southend finished T10 alongside Heather Munro with rounds of 75, 73 and 74 for 221.
Winner with an eight-under-par aggregate of 208 was Lisa Pettersson (East Carolina (72-65-71).
Stetson and Ellon tied for 11th place in a field of 18 for the team event.

Adam Scott picks Marc Leishman as Aussie 

World Cup partner

World Number Six Adam Scott has selected Marc Leishman, winner of six events worldwide, to be his partner for the upcoming World Cup of Golf to form one of the 28 two-man teams who will represent their countries at Kingston Heath Golf Club, from November 23-27.
Leishman, who was paired with Scott when he won his green jacket at The Masters in 2013, will be making his first World Cup of Golf appearance.
Winner of the 2012 Travelers Championship on the PGA TOUR, Leishman has five other international victories, including his most recent at the 2015 Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa on the European Tour last December.
Leishman’s selection to team with Adam Scott came after Jason Day announced last week that he was forced to withdraw due to a back injury.
The 2016 World Cup of Golf will return to a 72-hole, stroke-play, two-man team event format.  The first and third days of competition will be the foursomes format and the second and final days are four-ball play.

Cawder win Inter-Cities Cup 2016

The 2016 Inter-Cities Cup is a golfing competition between the winners of The Donald Cameron League in Glasgow and the winners of the Edinburgh Leagues.  
 The event was played on a beautiful summer’s day at Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society last Sunday. The clubs contesting the Inter- Cities Cup were Cawder Golf Club, representing Glasgow, and Turnhouse Golf Club, representing, Edinburgh.  
 Both clubs were undefeated in their respective league matches this year and each was represented by nine scratch golfers.  As the event progressed it was clear that the match was going to be very close. 
The overall result came down to the last putt by the last pair on the 17th green, with Cawder winning the cup five matches to four for the third successive year.
This year, the event for the first time the event was sponsored by "The Watson Foundation"

Cromarty leads North District junior match-play qualifiers

Rory Cromarty (Nairn) headed the qualifiers for the match-play stages of the North District junior match-play championships with rounds of 71 and 69 for a total of 140 at Forres Golf Club.
Clubmate Calum Scott came next with 70 and 73 for 143.
The CSS for both rounds was 69.
There are three match-play sections - Under-18s, Under-15s and Handicap.

PGAs of Europe professional championship

Graeme Brown leads the Scots in Bulgaria

Montrose Links assistant professional Graeme Brown had a bogey-free, four-birdie round of 68 for a 36-hole tally of five-under 139 to take up a share of seventh place at the halfway stage of the PGAs of Europe professional championship at Pravets Golf Resort, Bulgaria today.
The four other Scots in the field of 52 did not fare so well.
Craig Ronald (Carluke had a triple bogey 7 at the 14th in returning a 75 for 148 and joint 36th place.
Scott Henderson (Kings Links)  followed an eagle 3 at the 13th with a double bogey 6 at the 16th and a quadruple bogey 8 at the 18th as he signed for a 77 and joint 42nd place on 149.
Craig Matheson (Falkirk Tryst) had no birdies in a 76 for 150 and 44th position.
Norman Huguet (Musselburgh) had an 8 atthe 18th in a 78 for 155 and 47th place.
Dutchman Ralph Miller leads with 68 and 67 for nine under 135.

Duncan McNeill T35 at Bayou City Classic

McNeese State students Duncan McNeill from Annan and Tom Atkins from Poole are tied 35th on 147 in a field of 80 players at the 54-hole Bayou City Collegiate Classic which finishes today (Tuesday) at Golfcrest Country Club, Pearland near Houston, Texas.
Duncan has had rounds of 72 and 75, Tom 76 and 71.
McNeese State (577) are lyng fourth in a field of 13 teams after two rounds.
