Byrne and Doherty joint 17th in Thailand
James Byrne and Jack Doherty, the only two Scots in the field of 144 at the Asian Development Tour's Thongchai Jaidee Foundation tournament, are now joint 17th on level par 144 at the end of the second round at Black Mountain Golf Club, Hua Hin, Thailand.
Both men had double bogeys in their second round. Byrne took at 5 at the short third but compensated with an eagle 3 at the long sixth. He also had four birdies in compiling a two-under-par 70.
Doherty, who birdied the second hole, had a 6 at the par-4 16th but birdied the 17th and 18th to salvage a one-over 73.
Two Thailanders, Peradol Panyathanasedh (68-70) and Raththee Sirithanakunsak (70-68) are sharing the lead on six-under 138.
