Senior Men's Home Internationals at Machynys, South Wales
Scotland go down 5-4 to Wales after leading
3-0 from the foursomes
It cannot get much worse for European senior men's amateur team champions Scotland.
After the 7-2 defeat by England on Day of the Senior Men's Home Internatonals at Machynys Peninsula, South Wales, the Scots looked to be back in form when they led Wales 3-0 after the morning foursomes today.
But it was pride before another big fall. Wales won five of the six singles (Downfield's Graham Bell was the only Scottish winner) and took the match 5-4 to set themselves up for a title decider with England who beat Ireland 6-3.
Scotland and Ireland will play each other in the "wooden spoon" match.
