HANNAH McCOOK FINISHES TOP SCOT
IN BRITISH STROKE PLAY

Hannah
McCook (Grantown on Spey) was the highest finisher of the Scots-born
players who made the final day of the British women's open amateur
stroke play golf championship at Knock Golf Club, Belfast.
Hannah (pictured) shot rounds of 80, 74, 72 and 77 for 16th place on 11-over-par 303. She
had a double bogey 6 at the second but birdies at the fifth and 18th in
her final round.
Aboyne's
Shannon McWilliam was in the top 10 after a third-round morning 73 but
she closed with a 79 for 304 to fall back a joint 17th position. Shannon
had three double bogeys over the 72 holes or would have finished in the
top 10.
Chloe Goadby (St Regulus)had scores of 76, 81, 75 and 79 for 32nd place on 311.
Gabrielle Macdonald (Craigielaw) finished T36 on 314 with scores of 81, 76, 79 and 78.
English-born
but Scotland-based Gemma Batty, who lives at Moffat in the Borders,
finished a creditable fifth on 296 with rounds of 77, 71, 74 and 74
despite a double bogey 6 at the 13th in her final round.
