North of Scotland Open amateur stroke play championship at Inverness
Cameron Franssen sets pace with a 64 over
home course, one ahead of Jamie Stewart

Inverness
teenager Cameron Franssen set the pace with a five-under par 64 over
his home course in the first round of the 72-hole North of SCotland Open
stroke-play golf championship for the David Blair Trophy at Inverness
Golf Club.
Young
Franssen had a remarkable round of two eagles, at the par-5 third and
the par-4 18th, as well as birdies at the first, sixth, 14th, short 15th
and 17th in halves of 34 and 30.
He had a double bogey 5 at the short second and also dropped shots at the par-4 ninth and 11th.
Lying
a close second, only one shot behind, is Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly)
who had seven birdies and three bogeys in halves of 33-32.
