European men's individual amateur championship

Forrest leads the Scots in Estonia

Walker Cup player Grant Forrest (North Berwick) is the leading Scot after the first round of the European men's individual amateur championship in Estonia.
Considering the lack of a practice round and the disappearance of their own golf clubs in transit, Forrest and his fellow Scots did very well. Grant shot a three under par 69 to be in joint 13th position, three shots behind the leader, Germany's Jeremy Paul.
Craig Ross had a 70 for a share of 27th place while Connor Syme (Drumoig) and Craig Howie (Peebles) were joint 44th with 71s.
