Scottish Senior Golf Society match-play championship
Top seed Ronnie Clark wins title at 20th
RESULTS:
Leading qualifier Ronnie Clark (Erskine) justified the top seeding by winning the Scottish senior men's amateur match-play championship at Panmure Golf Club, Carnoustie this afternoon.
But he had to go to the 20th hole in the final before getting the better of Duncan Hamilton (Mortonhall).
Clark, pictured on the right, receiving the trophy from SSGS captain Denis McQuade, on left, had holed a good putt at the 19th to halve the hole in 3s and keep the game alive.
The final of the Super Seniors was won impressively by Ken Thomson (Turnhouse) who was only one over par in winning by 7 and 6 over Bill Methven (Royal Aberdeen).
