Max Orrin wins Mauritius Masters play-off
Englishman Max Orrin won the Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita today at the first hole of a sudden death play-off against France's Francois Calmels after they had tied on nine-under-par 207 at the end of 54 hole tournament at the Four Seasons Golf Club.
Orrin, 21-year-old 2013 Walker Cup player from Margate, Kent, made most of the running over the three days with rounds of 67 and 69 but his final round of 71 gave Calmels the chance to close the gap with a 69 after earlier rounds of 70 and 68. Orrin, who won on the Challenge Tour in 2014 and again this year, collected 13,350 euros, Calmels 9,600 euros.
