Godsman and Clark share Turnhouse lead at
halfway on four-under-par 134
North-east District Open champion Kyle Godsman (Moray), pictured above, is to the fore again in this weekend's SGU 72-hole Order of Merit tournament - the last counting event - the South-east District Championship at Turnhouse Golf Club, Edinburgh.
The 24-year-old from Hopeman, with rounds of 68 and 66, is sharing the lead on four-under-par 134 with experienced campaigner Matt Clark (Kilmacolm) who had a pair of 67s.

saw him birdie the fifth, eighth, 13th and 18th with a couple of bogeys before the turn, at the second and seventh.

Godsman, who played the US college circuit for four years as a student at the University of South Carolina-Aiken, birdied the fourth, 13th and 16th in morning when he also had bogeys at the fifth and 14th
In afternoon, Kyle birdied the first, fourth, 15th and 16th and bogeyed the third
Clark's first-round 67 contained birdies at the second, third and 16th. He dropped a shot at the 13th. His afternoon 67saw him birdie the fifth, eighth, 13th and 18th with a couple of bogeys before the turn, at the second and seventh.
Cawder's Jamie Savage had a five-under-par 64 - one outside the course record - in the morning but then had a 74 in the afternoon.
In
the morning he had an eagle at the second and birdied the first, fourth, fifth,
11th, 14th and 18th with bogeys at the third, seventh, and 10th.
In the afternoon, Savage had a double-bogey 7 at the fourth as well as bogeys at the eighth, 11th and 12th
