Thornton win Fife team title on tie-breaker

Thornton Golf Club, represented by A Moir, M Buchan, D Gorman and J Penman) won the Fife men's team championship for the G Gibson Trophy on a cold, windy wintry day at Kirkcaldy Golf Club on Saturday.
They had a four-man total of 303 which was equalled by Aberdour's S Meiklejohn, A Travers, S Oliphant and P Brown) who lost out in the tie-breaker - total of best three scores.
C.
Bradley (Pitreavie), G. Forrester (Lundin) and C. Wallace (Balbirnie)
should be commended for breaking par.
