Inverness win Senior Northern Counties
Cup at home, Final win over Ryl Aberdeen

Golf Club's quartet of Jim Elliot, Laurie Chancellor, Steve Barron and
Fraser Urquhart made the most of home advantage to win the Senior
Northern Counties Cup men's double foursomes match-play team title today
(Friday).
They
beat Royal Aberdeen 1 by 10 holes, thanks to the exceptional golf for
the second day in a row from Laurie Chancellor and Steve Barron. They
finished 10 holes up on Royal Aberdeen's first string pair of Ian Donald
and Jim Emslie.
The second-string match between Fraser Urquhart and Jim Elliot of Inverness and John Johnston and Bill Methven finished all square.
It was a third success by Inverness in the tournament, having won it previously in 2004 and 2013.
