Jimmy Gunn ... engaged to American girlfriend

GUNN BACK ON TARGET IN ARIZONA

Dornoch exile Jimmy Gunn's fortunes have taken a turn for the better over the past week.
Having lost his playing rights on the Web.com Tour, Gunn has been playing on the eGolf Gateway Tour and he won $5,800 by finishing in joint second place in its most recent 54-hole event at Verrado Golf Club, Buckeye in Arizona.
After rounds of 71 and 69, Gunn shot an eight-under-par 64 - a score equalled only by the winner, American Paul Peterson in totalling 15-under-par 201 (70-64-67).
Gunn finished three shots behind in a three-way tie for the runner-up spot.
Then, at the weekend, Gunn had another payday in a local pro-am Scottsdale, Arizona where he lives. Jimmy and partner finished runners-up.
Off the course, Gunn is also enjoying life again, having just got engaged to his American girlfriend.

+Jimmy Gunn was not the only Scot in the field of 98 players at the eGolf Gateway Tour event. One of those who missed the cut was Andrew Gunson, whose father is the director of golf at an exclusive golf and country club in Irvine, California.
Andrew had rounds of 77-71 for four-over 148.
