Sweden's Alex Hjalmarsson completed a hat-trick of World One-armed Championship successes at Ballater Golf Club this afternoon when he beat Reinhard Schuhknecht (South Africa) by 4 and 2 in the final.
Hjalmarsson, the No 2 seed, took a grip on the match in the early stages and was four up after seven holes against Schuhknecht, who was the leading qualifier for the match-play stages.
Hjalmarsson's semi-final opponent, Darren Grey from Darlington - winner of the title in 2010 - had a hole in one with a seven-wood at the 13th hole (158yd). But the Swede progressed to the final by a 3 and 2 margin.
Schuhknecht beat Robert Paul (England) at the 20th in the other semi-final.
A handicap championship was introduced this year and
that competition was won by Declan Burns who beat John Condie 6 and 5 in an all-Ireland final.
