DAVUD MILLER WINS SOUTH SENIORS AT POWFOOT
The Scottish Senior Golfing Society season is under way with Ayrshire's David J Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) won the South of Scotland seniors open amateur stroke-play tournament over 36 holes at Powfoot Golf Club today. Miller (pictured) had rounds of 73 and 72 for a one-over-par total of 145 - one shot ahead of Alan Elder (Kirkcaldy) (73-73) and Lindsay Gordon (Turnhouse) (72-74), both on 146. Another Turnhouse player, Alastair Taylor was fourth on 147 (75-72).
