BEN KINSLEY LEADING SCOT AT MCEVOY TROPHY
Ben Kinsley (St Andrews New) is the leading Scot at the halfway stage of the Peter McEvoy Trophy 72-hole boys golf tournament at Copt Heath Golf Club, Solihull. Kinsley, pictured when he won the Scottish Under-16 boys' open stroke-play championship in 2011, had rounds of 72 and 75 for a three-over-par tally of 147, which has him in joint 12th place behind the three joint leaders on 143, Oliver Farrelly (Evesham), Joe Brooks (Brickendon Grange) and Bradley Moore (Kedleston Park).Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) (75-73) and Connor Syme (Dumfries & Co) (71-77) are sharing 15th place on 148 - one shot ahead of Caluym Hill Tantallon) (73-76).Greg Forrester (Lundin) had rounds of 77-74 for 151 and a share of 28th place.Ewen Ferguson (Bearsden) is sharing 52nd place on 157 after rounds of 78 and 79.
