David Law's bid to win the Dar Es Salam Open two years in a row foundered over the last nine holes of the German PGA Developmental Tour event over the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, Rabat in Morocco today.
The Aberdonian finished third on 216,  five shots behind the Swiss winner Damian Ulrich and two adrift of runner-up Ken Benz, also from Switzerland.
Law's birdies at the long eighth and long 11th wiped out a bogey at the short second and gave him some hope that a very good inward half could take him up at least into second place.
But the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre man bogeyed the 13th and 14th on his way to a one-over 74, the worst score of his three returns.
Neverthless Law earned 2,000 Euros and is third on the Tour's Order of Merit with 12,148 Euros. Bernd Ritthammer (Germany) leads with 16,596 Euros and Ken Benz is second on 12,865 Euros.
