ENGLAND PLAYERS SECOND AND THIRD IN NSW MEDAL
Victoria's Thomas Horan (Cheltenham GC) has won the NSW Medal, which
was reduced to 54 holes after a violent electrical storm swept across
Sydney.
Horan's third round of 67 at Bonnie Doon in the strong southerly leap frogged him into the lead after three rounds.
It was then announced that the 54-hole totals would be the final positions after the conditions became too dangerous for play to continue.
Englishmen Nathan Kimsey and Garrick Porteous finished second and third respectively.
The top 32 have qualified for the NSW Amateur Championship (match play) being held at The Royal Sydney Golf Club, from Sunday to Tuesday.
