Last night the APL held their first meeting of the new
season under the convenorship of this year’s secretary, Northern Captain, Derek
Johnstone.
First on the agenda was an application from Craibstone GC
for re-admittance to the Pennant League. This was unanimously approved bringing
the number of participating Clubs to fifteen.
As a consequence, the League structure – which is presently two leagues of
seven – was changed to three leagues of five clubs.
This format (as per the Rules) will remain in place for a two-year period
to allow the rotation of home advantage.
The draw resulted as following:

The winners of the respective leagues along with the best
overall runner-up will contest the semi-finals.
MAITLAND SHIELD DRAW
In addition, the draw for this year’s Maitland Shield that
will be contested at the Kings Links from Monday, 20th May to
Friday, 24th May was as follows:
