CRAIBSTONE RE-ADMITTED TO ABERDEEN PENNANT LEAGUE

ABERDEEN

PENNANT

 LEAGUE

(Sponsored by the Cults Hotel)

Last night the APL held their first meeting of the new season under the convenorship of this year’s secretary, Northern Captain, Derek Johnstone.

First on the agenda was an application from Craibstone GC for re-admittance to the Pennant League. This was unanimously approved bringing the number of participating Clubs to fifteen.
As a consequence, the League structure – which is presently two leagues of seven – was changed to three leagues of five clubs.  This format (as per the Rules) will remain in place for a two-year period to allow the rotation of home advantage.

The draw resulted as following:

League A           League B           League C

Banchory           Portlethen            Peterculter

Northern           Hazlehead             Stonehaven

Auchmill           Caledonian          Deeside

Murcar Links    Royal Aberdeen   Craibstone

Newmachar       Bon Accord         Nigg Bay

The winners of the respective leagues along with the best overall runner-up will contest the semi-finals.
